Born in the UK, I grew up in my parents’ home country, Cameroon, where I exhibited her love for fashion from a very early age! As a child, my best friend and I handmade our dolls’ dresses and even dresses for some of the neighbourhood kids. As I got older, I used my mother’s sewing machine to alter my clothes to fit my style – even reinventing my school uniforms (much to my mother’s and principal’s dismay!).

I moved to the U.S after graduating from high school and later moved to Canada where I graduated from George Brown College’s Fashion Technique and Design program in 2012. I have kept my flair for design in great practice as an adult, designing wardrobes for myself and my friends. I mix African prints with solid-coloured fabrics to create new, fabulous Afro-Western looks at ZNA.K Designs. Toronto-based, with clients across Canada, the U.S and the U.K.

Recent shows include African Fashion Week Toronto, where I won the 2013 Student/New Designer Competition. I was also nominated for Best Emerging Designer at the African Industry Awards in Toronto in 2014 and this year I was nominated for Best Ladies wear Designer.
